SBI Proposal Development Grants For Multidisciplinary Research, Research Centers, Research Partnerships, Equipment

The SBI seeks requests from faculty that will aid in the development of proposals for externally funded grants for: multidisciplinary research, research centers, research partnerships, or for equipment. The maximum amount of an SBI award will be $10K, which can be used to fund salary (release time, summer salary, and increases in FTE up to 1.0) for generating the proposal, clerical support, cost share, or matching funds for equipment.

Guidelines

The SBI will consider requests for funding that will result in the generation of multidisciplinary research grant proposals. In order to qualify for SBI funding the following criteria must be met for the grant proposal that will be generated:

  1. The proposal involves at least three OSU faculty as PI and Co-PI, with faculty from a least two OSU Colleges represented.
  2. The proposal requests at least $1M in funding for research to be conducted at OSU. For equipment grants at least $300K in funding to OSU is requested.
  3. New faculty collaborations are formed.
  4. If a preproposal is needed by the university or funding agency, SBI funds will only be provided for the generation of the full proposal.

How to Request SBI Funding
